It was our first time in Bali and it was amazing. During our 5 days in Bali, we had a memorable and fun experience with Didi. He was our trustworthy guide and companion, and showed us what it was like to have a great time there! Even though our itinerary was pretty taxing, Didi did his utmost best to show us around the beautiful island. The memories are still vivid in our minds and we were very lucky to have him as our guide. Thanks Didi for the good time, help and friendship! =)
We had two awesome days with Didi. He is friendly, loves kids and is so trust worthy. He listens to what you want and is honest and helpful. Our 2 year old loved him. We had a day touring around, went to Bali safari park, beaches and great dinner at Jim bay. The next time we headed to ubad, beaches, dinner and the city for shopping. Didi always made us feel safe, happy and well looked after. He never took us to places we didnt ask and his English is excellent. If we come back, Didi is our man, and his number saved in my phone. Plus, he loves Kids and they love him. Just a nice guy you will enjoy the day with. As simple as that!
I went to Bali with 5 of my friends and booked The Bali Driver for two airport transfers and for one day (10 hours). Pak Didi was very prompt with my online booking, and I even got a 25,000 discount for the 10-hour session (so only 375,000) for booking early. Pak Didi was very friendly and sociable, which is very important for a group of young travelers like us. He also recommended some good (and affordable) places to eat, and patiently accompanied us while we did our shopping (thanks for being so patient! We took a really long time to shop ;P). He also took us to a pretty beach nearby to pass time while we wait for a show to start in Bali Nusa Dua Theater. For the last airport transfer, we had Pak Alit who was also sociable and patient–we could even make one more stop for a shop near to the airport. Thank you Pak Didi and Pak Alit for being helpful and for making our trip awesome!
This is an overdue review but we felt compelled to share this with all travelling to Bali, as we recently had a less than pleasant experience with another driver, on a trip last week. We were in Bali for a friend’s wedding and they had hired a driver to take us out for a day. His language command was terrible, we didn’t know if he understood what we needed. Along the way, he also kept pushing us to visit certain places not in our itinerary, which I suppose would pay him “commission”. Thankfully, we were in a group and were headed to do rafting, so we did not need any tourguide commentary.
This recent trip has further affirmed our experience with Didi and the Bali Driver in late 2010- our FIRST trip ever to Bali. Didi came highly recommended from a friend, and when I emailed him from Singapore on the itinerary, he was prompt and helpful in his replies.
Being tourists, we were 1hour late on the first day of pickup because my husband had fell alittle ill from the food and needed some extra sleep time. But Didi and his co-driver were still accommodating and welcomed us onboard the car. It was well-kept and clean.
Didi surprised us with his eloquence, humour and knowledge on luwak coffee and other local information. He was initiative and always ready to take pictures for us, or offer suggestions on places to check out.
Also, we had unwittingly overshot our time with Didi one night while having drinks at Seminyak BUT to our very surprise, he didn’t call to hurry us, or tell us off. His level of service is impeccable, and we really appreciate the kindness he extended to us as first-time visitors to Bali.
In conclusion, just call the Bali Driver when you’re in Bali. They will put a smile on your face even if it’s your millionth time there 🙂
And many more……………
